The Death of a Star

You are an eye-catching star,
Shine
Up on the endlessly wide,
Theatre sky.

As you fly,
We imagine you are
An angel
Left us with a flashing tail.
Powder of dreams-come-true,
We suppose.

But who knows,
You are a falling star—
Meteor,
That burns and slips away
Before the curtain falls.
Who ever knows,
Our wishes on you
Are only burden
That crush you down from the sky.

Farewell, you twinkling star,
May you shine
Till the last minute of your life,
May you fly
Freely with vitality hereafter.
